Amazon has officially begun utilizing drone delivery services in Darlington, County Durham, in the UK. Packages that weigh under 5 pounds are now able to be delivered within a 7.5 mile of their initial location. Amazon believes with a higher demand for faster delivery, they can expand its horizons and further develop the technology. The drones are equipped with GPS and sensors that can automatically detect and avoid obstacles. However, some are against the idea, as many prefer to stick to traditional methods, as they are not yet accustomed to it out of tradition or concern.
